Twins and a Tot

February 2006

I am 21 weeks as of yesterday. It's just flying by. Some of you may not know that I had a little trouble at 18 weeks. I went into the hospital with contractions due to probable dehydration brought on by me not taking great care of myself when I was down in my back and sick with a UTI (Hey, in my defense I slept a lot, which I thought was good. I just forgot to drink). They were able to stop the contractions really quickly with medication and an IV, so that was a relief. And I was given strict orders to keep myself hydrated no matter what. Mom and Cindy have been super helpful taking Aiden and giving me a break here and there. Bless Anthony, he has been working hard getting the Jeep ready for his last Jeep excursion for A WHILE. It's this next weekend, so after that he will be completely at my dispense- mainly to get the nursery ready. I've been told not to plan anything past 28 weeks because I'll need lots of rest and little of anything else by that time. Since that's not too far away I figure I better get things in order. My girlfriends in Jackson have graciously offered to give me a shower the weekend of March 4th and my sister has offered to head up a family shower on the 18th of March. We're very excited because with two girls coming, we will need lots of things we didn't plan on with Aiden. Not to mention, it starts with double stroller and double car seat and leads to double cheerleading tryouts, double driver's permits, double proms, double beauty reviews, double weddings...our heads are already spinning. But it's going to be a blast and we're SO excited! Especially me because I was hoping for one girl and now I get two! YEAH! I was out of work on modified bedrest for 2 1/2 weeks and went back last Wednesday. I'm hoping to work to 28 plus weeks, but we'll see. I'm not going to push it.

I'm going to try to get the ultrasound pictures scanned in so that you can see them, but it may not happen. We don't have a scanner.

Please keep us in your prayers that I will be able to carry the girls safely, work as long as possible and still be a good wife and mother to Aiden and Anthony. (There...not too much to ask, is it?)

    Love,
    Mandye

Just wanted to let you know that I've started a scrapbook site for the girls. It's FlowersTwins.AboutMyBaby.com. It's also listed under links on this site. I'll be updating all twin info there from now on.
