UPDATE: We had a second experience with the Elmo costume when Anthony came home this last weekend. AND, as you can see in the picture above, it went MUCHO better. YAY! The girls were cute as pie in the Pea in a Pod outfits, too. I will post pics from tomorrow night when I get them. We will be trick-or-treating somewhere...location unknown at this time :-) Maybe at Katie and Brendan's house with Mary Kellan because they have TONS of trick-or-treaters there and Mom has never had one in her current house. Not even ONE! It will be a fun night! YAY!

Well, a week ago today we were eating at Logan's Roadhouse and Aiden chunked (I say that because the kid has quite an arm) his pacifier literally across three sections. It was a site. So Tashy (my sis, Ashley)snuck over and hid it in her pocket and I said..."No More, that's it. You threw it away." And folks, that's the story we stuck to. No stories about the monster taking it or the dog eating it...he threw it away. When he asked, we were honest, "You threw it away, Buddy." So he was pitiful for a day or two, and drank enough juice as a supplement for it to quench the thirst of a small army. But now, he's fine. He doesn't even ask for it. Well, he did once last night, but it wasn't bad. And he is talking SO much more without it! Last night he came in and said, "Mama, the baby's crying." It was awesome. I am really glad that we waited this long because he learned a lot of lessons from his "pappy." He learned when to be quiet and how to sooth himself, mainly, which are two really good lessons that some kids don't learn. Can't tell you what a blessing that thing was when we were in restaurants and he got a little rowdy. Anyway, just wanted to share our triumph. Fairwell, dear pappy. Aiden will hopefully not miss you a bit. But I think I might...because this is a sign that my little man is not a baby anymore. BOOOOOOO! Oh, and speaking of "boo," I got Aiden an Elmo costume for Halloween and the kid HATES it. I was so proud because it really looks like Elmo, with the fur and everything. And the head is really realistic. Well, I think he thought Elmo was eating him. He cried and cried. I left it on him a bit so he could get used to it, but it never happened. For those who remember last Halloween and the "Pissy Pumpkin," this was a rerun of that. I'm returning it to Baby's R Us today. But I can't wait for you to see what the girls are going to be!!! TOO CUTE! They're too little to complain. YAY! I will post pictures when I get them. I love ya'll!-Mandye

Well, this is my first week at the G.V. Sonny Montgomery Veterans' Healthcare Center, better known as the Jackson VA. It's been great so far and I look forward to meeting my boss and getting my office by the end of the week. I'm in orientation until tomorrow afternoon. The kids are in their new daycare and doing fine. Aiden is still my little emotional man and cries when I drop him off AND when I pick him up. I tell everyone the story of how I cried every first day of school until Junior High, so I'm sure this is just payback. He is definitely my child. They assure me that he's fine minutes after I'm gone, so I hang on that promise throughout the day...that and his great big smile. The girls just laugh at their teacher and don't give me a second look. They're more independant than me and Aiden combined and they're barely in the world yet. Amazing how different your kids can be, isn't it?! Anthony is still coming up on the weekends and working on the Coast and trying to sell our house during the week. On the weekends we do fun things like look all day at houses. No, this past weekend we took Aiden to the Ag museum for the pumpkin fair. He got to see the animals there, too. The "herses" and the "gunkey" (donkey) were his faves. He kept saying "here herse, cern" (here, horse, corn)trying to get up the courage to feed the horses. He also went to the fair and saw the circus, so we have had some good family time. I can't get on the internet at work to post anymore, so I will have to find the time at home. Be patient with my updates during this time of transition for us, and pray that we find a residence soon so that we can get our kids settled into some sort of routine. And for Anthony to get a job and for our house to sell!!! Ok, gotta run rock a baby! Love you all!-Mandye
