Ok, sorry it has taken so long to write a new entry. I've been busy enjoying my last little bit of time left with Aiden before I go back to work on Monday, March 7. YUCK. That's enough said about that for now :-)
We had a wonderful trip to Jackson! We really enjoyed visiting with everyone. I think we saw most everyone that wanted to see Aiden, but off the top of my head...we missed some very important folks and I just want to personally acknowledge that:
*Aunt Tommye, Uncle Joe, JoJo and Zachary: I can't believe we were there a full week and didn't get to see ya'll. I promise next time we're up we're making a trip to Black Oak Circle. We love you very much!
*Brooke Depoyster, Kim Browning and Ms. Jennifer: I am so sorry that we didn't get to see ya'll! But Brooke, I did get to drive by and see your new house in RiverRidge and it's beautiful! I'm excited for you!!! Hopefully we'll see you all soon.
I know that there are others, but those came specifically to mind.
Ok, so much has happened since we came home. We have been busy getting the house organized and clean so that Mom will be able to function while keeping Aiden here during the next few weeks. He will start daycare on May 31st, if not a little sooner. Until then, Mom and Cindy will split time watching him during the day. Many of you are wondering if I am ok with daycare? Well, I did have my breakdown about leaving him with a total stranger, but I'm ok now. We have a great daycare where they watch only 5 bedbabies and have 2 workers that split the time. For those familiar with code, that's a great statistic. I adore both of these ladies already, so I'm hoping and praying that Aiden will love them, too, and enjoy his time with them. Any issues I have now are purely selfish because I wish I could stay all day with him :-)
Now an update of those I rarely mention: Anthony is doing wonderful. I don't brag on him enough. He is a great dad and even greater husband. He is such a blessing! You should see him with Aiden. Aiden loves his daddy and lights up when he comes around. It's amazing to watch.
Brody and the cats are adjusting to "second string" life just fine. We joke that they aren't our number one babies anymore, and they know this. They are curious about Aiden, especially now that he's gotten so vocal.
Speaking of that, you should hear him babble on to everyone. He is just a doll. I know that he truly is trying to talk to us. He has discovered the Jumparoo, which, for those of you who aren't kid-friendly, is a seat with bungee cords attached to the base that allows the baby to safely jump all around. Well, when we first put it together he was just gaining stregth in his neck and couldn't jump well. We'd try it a little everyday to see if he was stronger. Cut to yesterday, when the kid just started jumping around like a little kangaroo! It was awesome. We then put him down for tummy time, and he rolled right over on his back! What a day! He slept like the dead last night. I think he wore himself out.
Well, I think I've updated you guys on almost everthing possible. I do start work Monday, and it will be FINE. I keep telling myself that so I know it's true. Ok, seriously, Pray that I make it...
Love to you all,
