Well, it's been a long month, to say the least. Things are definitely more stable now, though 'normal' is far, far away. The coast is never going to be the same...and I'm not so sure that's a bad thing. Aiden is growing like a weed. He looks more and more like a little man everyday. He is getting to be a bit of a Mama's Boy, which I am of course enjoying, but he has yet to SAY 'mama.' When I ask him to say mama, he looks at me, breaks into a wide grin and says, with big wide eyes, 'DA-DA.' Funny how you carry a child 9 months and they say 'dada' first. One day, I feel sure I'll get my due. Anyway...Aiden has had a great month. He spent much of September in Jackson after the storm. When we found that our water was ok, we got him back down here as quick as we could. The traffic was HORRIBLE, and still is in most places. At one time it was taking me 2 hours one way to get Aiden to daycare and me to work. It was awful. Now it only takes about an hour and a half, and it's not so bad. Anthony's mom is living with us for a while because she lost her place down here so she has been a big help with Aiden. I've actually learned how to cook a few meals while Aiden is playing. He plays so well by himself. He's also eating big boy food now, with tomatoes and broccoli being some of his favorite things so far. Anthony just shakes his head in wonder when Aiden eats tomatoes because he HATES them. It's funny! We've been in Jackson all but 1 weekend since the storm. Although the travel is exhausting, it's good to get some normal interaction sometimes. We'll be there this weekend for Amanda Mullins' shower. Her baby, Connor, is due Christmas. We can't wait to meet him! Aiden will have a sweet little new friend. In November we will be going and visiting Maddy Holley to celebrate my and Jenn's birthdays. Can't wait to see the little angel. See our link to their website for her cute little pictures. She's going to be a heartbreaker. Aiden is already on a waiting list to date her...he's at the top of course. :-) We miss everyone so much! Please call or come by if you decide to visit the beautiful beaches and of the scenic Gulf Coast highway...well, it was worth a shot. Keep in touch!
Love,
