Well, we had an excellent shower on October 17th at my cousin Donna's home in Madison. What a blessing! I think we now have everything we need either on order or piled in Aiden's room at home. Truly, we are blessed.
On Sunday night after the shower my pulse jumped up to 115 and continued to do so all of the following week, peaking at 135 at times. My blood pressure was well within normal limits, but the my OB asked that I see a cardiologist just to be on the safe side. Mom came down on Wednesday the 20th to take care of me because Anthony had an out of town business trip. She went with me to my appointments and made sure that I didn't "over do it." Anthony got back into town yesterday (10/28) so he'll be taking over that job now.
I will be having some tests run (echocardiogram, which is an ultrasound of the heart, and I'll be wearing a holter monitor for 24hours to monitor my heart). All of this will happen on Election Day, Tuesday the 2nd of November. I'll let everyone know the results via this website. The doctor did tell me that it is still safe to work, simply to pace myself, and that my heart rate will not hurt the baby or cause labor.
Speaking of labor, I started childbirth classes last Tuesday night. Mom was my partner since Anthony was out of town. You'll all be glad to know that I now know "when to go the hospital" and "how to time contractions." We've given Anthony a quick course so that he is all caught up and knows what's going on for next week.
Whew...all that said, I hope and pray that you all are healthy and happy. God bless and take care!Comments:Add a comment:
